How Is The Procedure

Before we begin, we’ll take a record of the shade of your current teeth in order to compare results. Then, we’ll polish your teeth to remove any plaque from the surface.Gauze will be used to keep your mouth dry, and we’ll place a barrier at your gumline in order to protect your gums. The whitening solution will be placed on the front of your teeth, and a curing light or laser will then be used to activate the peroxide in the whitening solution. Once we have reached the optimal shade, we will rinse the solution off. To relieve sensitivity, we can apply a fluoride solution. You can then schedule follow-up appointments to reach your desired level of whiteness.

Teeth Whitening Tips

You should avoid food and drinks that could stain your teeth for the first 24 hours, including tea, coffee, tomatoes and yellow mustard. If you smoke or use tobacco, you should also avoid that for the first 24 hours.

In-office whitening is more effective because we can use a higher percentage or dosage of peroxide than you could safely using an in-home whitening kit. A professional will know exactly how long the whitener can be applied to the teeth to avoid sensitivity issues.

The length of time needed to achieve your ideal shade, and its effectiveness are unique to you. For example, if you have been a smoker, your results may take longer to achieve than a non-smoker.
