Dental X-rays Lowell

Dental X-rays are an important component of our treatment at Lowell Dental Arts. We use digital radiography rather than traditional X-ray film. The digital images that are captured by the electronic sensor are transferred immediately to a computer. These low-dose digital X-rays offer many benefits to our patients.

Digital X-rays expose our patients to much lower doses of radiation than traditional X-rays, often reducing exposure by 90%. We can instantly view the images, and even enlarge them to make it easier to spot issues and share them with patients. Digital X-rays are also better for the environment because they do not require film processing, so there are no waste products or chemicals to be disposed of.

X-rays are essential because they reveal information that is not visible during a regular exam. We can look between teeth, as well as under the gum, to identify any issues we wouldn’t be able to see otherwise. We can identify bone loss, decay between teeth, development abnormalities, and many other issues we wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

Our digital X-rays are completely safe, and they are much faster than traditional X-rays. We take every necessary safety precaution to ensure the safety of our patients.
