Invisalign, Lowell MA

Invisalign clear aligners allow you to straighten your smile in the most discrete way possible. Invisalign uses a series of clear, comfortable aligners to gently guide your teeth to their new locations. Because they are clear, no one will even notice you are wearing them, unlike with metal braces. And they are removable, making eating, brushing and flossing a breeze.

For most patients, Invisalign can be just as effective as metal braces. For patients with minor malocclusions or spacing issues, Invisalign can be a wonderful option. Invisalign can cost slightly more than traditional braces, but the cost is generally very close.

Partial dentures are removable and typically consist of a metal framework that is covered in a pink plastic or resin material that resembles the gums and then the denture teeth. The partial denture utilizes the existing teeth to anchor the removable denture in place.

Invisalign Adults

As an adult with professional life it’s hard to have metal braces, Invisalign offer a great option for adults who want to straighten their teeth without the need to wear metal braces at all time. Invisalign aligners are removable, clear (virtually invisible.)

Invisalign FAQs

Invisalign uses a series of fully customized aligners that fit over the teeth, and work to gently guide the teeth to their ideal locations. Each set will be worn for approximately two weeks and is precisely calibrated to achieve a certain degree of movement. Aligners are removed when eating. Drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Invisalign is typically slightly more expensive than traditional braces, but the cost has become much more on par in recent years. Our office will do everything we can to help you find an affordable treatment plan that will fit comfortably into your budget.

The first thing patients love about Invisalign is that the aligners are made from clear plastic. This makes them virtually invisible to others. But additional benefits include:

  • Fewer orthodontist appointments. Without wires to tighten and elastics to change out, you’ll only need to see your orthodontist every four to six weeks.
  • Removable appliances. You don’t have to change up your diet while in treatment because you remove the aligners when you eat and drink.
  • More comfortable. The aligners are made of smooth plastic, and there are no brackets or wires to irritate the inside of your mouth.

Adults and teens with minor to moderate malocclusions are ideal candidates for Invisalign. The treatment is typically not recommended for children or for patients with more severe orthodontic issues. The best way to determine if Invisalign is right for you is to schedule a consultation.

Most major dental plans will cover a portion of Invisalign treatment costs. Our office will help you determine the extent of your benefits.

As with any orthodontic treatment, retention is important. You will be given a retainer to wear to ensure your new smile stays in place. Always follow your dentist’s recommendations for retainer wear.
